Extended Care LLC in Evanston, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant with direct long-term care or healthcare accounting experience to join our finance team.

The role performs full-cycle accounting, prepares monthly financial statements, reviews junior staff work, analyzes variances, and supports audits while ensuring GAAP compliance and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2–3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Direct long-term care, skilled nursing, senior living, or healthcare accounting experience required.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience and GAAP knowledge.

Mansioni

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Review work prepared by junior accounting staff for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze account activity, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings to management.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and audits.
• Monitor AP/AR, cash, accruals, and fixed assets; maintain depreciation schedules.
