Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors in a clinical setting. The role monitors security systems, enforces policy, and responds to emergencies to protect people and Intermountain property.

Responsibilities include de-escalation, handling violent situations, conducting searches, and participating in safety drills. Candidates must meet MONT requirements and hold a BLS certification with a valid driver's license.

Formación

• Current Driver's License (if applicable for the role).
• Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 21 years of age.
• If located in Montana, Security Guard Licensure required within 120 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor security technology systems (surveillance cameras, access control, alarms).
• De-escalation to peacefully resolve conflicts.
• Protect safety during violent or disruptive incidents; apply restraints if necessary.
• Ensure HIPAA and other regulatory compliance when reporting incidents.
• Respond to bomb threats and suspicious packages per protocol.
• Participate in drills (e.g., infant abduction, active shooter).
• Conduct searches of patients and areas; ensure legal compliance.
• Perform safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Enforce parking regulations for patient safety and access.
• Collaborate with HR and law enforcement for investigations.
