Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a Director of Security to lead multi-site security programs across healthcare providers. You will manage vendor contracts, develop cost-saving strategies and collaborate with senior leaders to improve overall security and operational outcomes.

The role requires CHPA credentials, 5+ years in security leadership, and strong project management skills. Travel to client sites will be regular in this role, supporting national deployment and program optimization.

Qualifications

• Requires CHPA credentials or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in security management.
• Experience leading security programs in multi-location healthcare systems.
• Parking, shuttle and valet management experience.
• Ability to read location schematic drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFPs and evaluation for security contracts (security, parking, shuttle, valet).
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance to complete contracting activities.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and value adds.
• Review contract pricing benchmarks to identify future savings opportunities.
• Design and manage project work plans; report status and savings achieved.
• Present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership across providers.
• Improve security leadership, training, and onboarding processes.
• Assess entry points and camera placement, access control, and alarms.
