Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Security Director to lead security programs across healthcare provider sites, including staff management, budgeting, planning, and contract evaluations. You will collaborate with senior leaders to drive cost reduction and improve financial outcomes for providers in a virtual office setting.

Ideal candidates will have CHPA credentials and 5+ years of security leadership experience in healthcare systems, with strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• CHPA credentials required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Parking Management expertise- Shuttle and Valet experience.
• Experience as a Director of Security and/or law enforcement at multi location healthcare system required.
• Ability to read location schematic drawings and specifications required.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills required.
• Experience in consulting, analytics, healthcare supply chain procurement, and an understanding of both clinical and non-clinical activities and processes within the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Board certification in Security Management preferred.
• Proficient in the use of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
• Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFP and evaluation process for security-related contracts.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, and other departments on contracting activities.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and value adds for savings.
• Review benchmarks and identify future savings opportunities.
• Design and execute project work plans and provide status updates.
• Present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Improve security contracts, KPI's, SOPs, and training programs.
• Oversee security leadership structure and access control improvements.
• Evaluate entry points, vehicle routes, signage, and security post Orders.
• Prepare assessment reports covering observations and savings.
