The University of Iowa Health Care Downtown Campus is seeking a Hospital Security Officer for the weekend shift. The role provides public safety, monitors electronic surveillance, and patrols the campus to enforce policies and protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, report writing, responding to calls, and coordinating with the Environment of Care committee to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifikationen

• Two years' experience in security and safety or related field.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
• Ability to obtain IAHSS basic certification within 6 months of hire and maintain it during employment.

Aufgaben

• Patrol assigned areas to ensure personal, building and equipment security.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for service.
• Investigate incidents and prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Provide escort services, lockouts, and jump starts as requested.
• Conduct inspections of safety equipment and security systems as assigned.
