The University of Iowa Health Care Downtown Campus is seeking a Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff. This third-shift role pays $17.66 per hour and is located in Iowa City, IA.

The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and regular duties across cleaning, restrooms, and supply stocking to support a high standard of cleanliness in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Experience using cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning.
• Trash removal.
• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms; refill supplies.
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and damp mopping floors.
• Carpet cleaning.
• Unit/bed making.
• Wall and ceiling washing.
• Furniture moves and room setups.
• Use various types of custodial equipment.
