Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Downtown Campus department of Environmental Services is seeking a Custodian to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff. This position is scheduled to work second shift with a starting salary of $17.66/hour and is performed fully on campus.

The role involves stocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, floor care, wall/ceiling washing, furniture moves, and using custodial equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare setting and interacting with the public.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and maintaining hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Stock supplies for cart and custodial area
• Clean and disinfect restrooms/ refill restroom supplies
• Dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping hard surface floors
• Wall & ceiling washing
• Furniture moves and room setups
• Use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
