Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer to patrol facilities, control access, and respond to security incidents. You will escort staff and visitors, identify unauthorized persons, and collaborate with local police and emergency services as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, state license, and physical readiness, with preferred healthcare security experience and relevant certifications. Training provided; weekend shifts are common.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military police experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years healthcare or education experience preferred.
• DL Class C driver’s license and insurable upon hire required.
• ACPI training completed annually 30 days required.
• NCSO or CSO certifications preferred but not required.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas during after-hours.
• Lock and unlock doors according to schedules.
• Provide escorts to and from parking areas.
• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
• Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies.
