Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Medical Center Security Officer to provide security services for care team members, patients, visitors, and our medical facilities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, one year of relevant security experience, and the ability to obtain IAHSS certification within the first year of employment. A valid South Carolina driver’s license is required. Shift work and overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree can substitute for the required experience.
• Must obtain IAHSS certification within the first year of employment.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services for care team members, patients, visitors, and MUSC facilities.
• Communicate tactfully and effectively; enforce security protocols and respond to incidents.
