Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an AH Security Officer 1 to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors across AH healthcare facilities and corporate locations. The role includes patrolling premises, regulating access, and responding to emergencies, with weekend and on-call requirements.

Officers may work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including holidays, and must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to deter and detect criminal activity, suspicious behavior, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Secure entrances, exits, and restricted areas to prevent breaches or theft.
• Control pedestrian and vehicular traffic as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, deescalate disturbances, and assist during fires or disasters.
• Assist with incident reporting and documentation using hospital systems.
