Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an AH Security Officer 1 to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors across AH facilities and corporate sites.

Responsibilities include patrols, camera monitoring, policy enforcement, access control, and prompt incident response in collaboration with hospital teams.

Weekend and on-call duties are required with shifts Friday 11A–7P, Saturday–Sunday 7A–7P, and Monday 3P–11P; lifting up to 100 lbs and long shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher degrees preferred.
• FEMA ICS 100/200/700 certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, EMO, or military preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities and monitor cameras to deter crime and unauthorized access.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies, deescalating situations.
• Verify visitor identities and enforce access to restricted areas.
• Provide directions and assist patients and visitors.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain security logs.
