Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking an AH Security Officer 1 to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors across AH healthcare facilities and corporate locations in New Jersey, with weekend and on-call duties.

The role involves patrolling, controlling access, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to emergencies while ensuring policy compliance and professional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• FEMA IC 100/200/700 to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record in compliance with AH eligibility requirements.
• Security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital buildings and grounds to deter and detect criminal activity and unauthorized access.
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and surveillance equipment for safety.
• Control entrances, exits, and restricted areas to prevent breaches or theft.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies, deescalate situations, ensure safety of people and property.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and external agencies as required.
