Endeavor Health is hiring a Public Safety Officer for Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time evening position (4:00pm–12:30am) offers an hourly range of $18.84 to $27.32, depending on experience.

Duties include unarmed security, patient and visitor protection, incident reporting, and assistance to staff and guests across hospital grounds. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in a customer-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.
• Healthcare/security related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of the facility and grounds.
• Report incidents or loss and coordinate with police when needed.
• Respond to service calls in a timely, safe, professional manner.
• Assist visitors with directions and escort to destinations when needed.
• Direct vehicle traffic around hospital facilities to prevent congestion.
• Restrain unruly individuals when necessary and involve authorities.
• Secure valuables and monitor equipment and alarms.
• Inspect doors, windows and safety equipment for proper operation.
• Investigate and document thefts or accidents to gather evidence.
