Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Public Safety Officer for the Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time, evenings position (4:00pm–12:30am) involves unarmed, uniformed security services to protect persons and property across hospital facilities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in a customer-focused service role, plus licenses such as FOID, CPR, CPI within six months, and a valid driver's license. CPI and IAHS certification timelines apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of facilities and grounds on foot or by vehicle.
• Reports incidents or losses and assists police when needed.
• Responds to service calls in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Guides patients and visitors, provides directions and escorts.
• Directs vehicle traffic and enforces parking rules.
• Restraints unruly individuals when necessary and coordinates with police.
• Protects valuables and monitors lost and found items.
• Inspects doors, alarms, and equipment for proper operation.
