Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This full-time role offers daytime hours (6:00am - 2:30pm) with an hourly rate between $18.84 and $27.32, depending on experience and qualifications.

The officer will patrol facilities, respond to incidents, assist visitors, and enforce safety policies to protect people and property. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year in a customer-focused service role; CPR certification

Qualifications

• Required Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization.
• Preferred certifications: CPR, CPI, IA HSS Basic Healthcare Security Officer training (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas on foot or with vehicle according to schedule.
• Investigates unusual occurrences and reports incidents suggesting loss or harm.
• Directs vehicle traffic in hospital areas and assists visitors with directions.
• Restraints unruly individuals when necessary and involves police when required.
• Administers safety controls to protect valuables and equipment and documents incidents.
