Job summary

The Manager, Security is responsible for keeping a safe environment for our patients, visitors, volunteers, staff and physicians. Responsible for the protection of assets, and ensures a proactive and preventative security presence of the facility, enforcing applicable rules and physical security requirements.

The Security Manager applies and implements the Facilities philosophy, goals and objectives. The Security Manager maintains a high level of efficiency and knowledge in security practices,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience as noted.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of related field experience required.
• 2-4 years of leadership experience preferred.
• 0-2 years healthcare or hospital setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploys and monitors security staff to patrol campus buildings and premises to ensure the safety of all persons.
• Assist the Director, Security with day to day operations of the Security Team, including maintaining time keeping records.
• Works with other managers to assure Environment of Care management plans are evaluated at least annually.
• Reviews incident reports and verifies all pertinent information.
• Participates in developing safety policies and procedures.
• Manages daily operations with accountability for growth, budget and other objectives.
• Manages security employee outcomes including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Trains staff on de-escalation techniques for security incidents.
• Assists in training of the Security Team on security procedures.
• Communicates security needs and plans with department leadership.
• Creates a service culture that supports patient/customer satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
