Job summary

Amazon is seeking an engineering leader for Amazon Healthcare Security to build and operate security tooling and platforms protecting healthcare data across Amazon Health Services. You will drive strategic security initiatives, mentor engineers, and coordinate with security, healthcare, and retail teams to enable scalable, compliant systems.

You will define technical strategy for evolving these systems, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure zero disruption to patient care while advancing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• 5+ years of Software Engineer/related experience.
• 4+ years of technical leadership and SDLC management.
• 5+ years of large-scale, multi-tier distributed systems in Java/C#/C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engineering team delivering security tooling and platforms for healthcare data protection.
• Define technical strategy and manage execution across cross-functional streams.
• Mentor engineers to become independent builders and effective contributors.
• Partner with product, security, and healthcare teams to scale secure systems.
