Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC seeks a Scheduling Coordinator-PN to perform advanced scheduling in the appointment system. The role works closely with office managers, staff, and providers to optimize scheduling workflows and patient access.

Responsibilities include loading schedules, training staff, handling inquiries by phone, and ensuring accurate pre-registration. A High School Diploma and 6 months healthcare scheduling experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
• Prior experience using medical terminology and CRT in a physician practice setting; 6-month probationary period to demonstrate proficiency.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Oversight of appointment scheduling for one or more providers.
• Manage workflow of all appointment scheduling procedures including pre-registration and scheduling templates.
• Load new schedules, coordinate provider schedules, and notify departments of changes.
• Serve as designated trainer to coworkers for appointment scheduling activities.
• Answer telephone, schedule appointments, transfer calls, and assist patients.
• May perform order entry duties related to scheduling as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
