Qualifications

• Minimum two years of college education or equivalent related work experience.
• Two years experience in billing, collections and/or reimbursement experience in a healthcare environment.
• 10-key calculator, keyboarding, and use of other office machines such as copier, fax, etc.
• Knowledge of third-party payers - Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance.
• Outstanding people skills, including telephone technique, personal appearance, organization skills, communicable skills (oral and written), independent and self-motivate, flexible, analytic and arithmetic skills, negotiation skills, problem solving skills and computer skills including some understanding of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Center Scheduling department including insurance eligibility, authorizations, scheduling and pre-registration.
• Perform managerial functions including staff leadership, decision making, setting department standards and policy guidelines.
