Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate patient testing, admissions and pre-certifications, ensuring accurate insurance information and timely communication with patients and staff.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational and time-management skills to support efficient patient flow and testing across services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; or at least three years of directly related experience may substitute for the required education.
• Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred; medical terminology, billing and/or collection experience is preferred.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient testing/procedures/admissions; obtains pre-cert/authorization numbers and enters in scheduling/registration systems; enters accurate insurance information and answers calls.
• Schedules all patients for ancillary, surgical, and medical testing/procedures/admissions, ensuring availability of personnel.
• Informs patient or physician staff of out-of-network carriers or any issue that may reduce benefits; communicates special instructions or testing requirements.
