Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to foster a safe and welcoming environment across multiple clinic sites. This role emphasizes proactive risk mitigation, compassionate service, and adherence to safety protocols for patients, staff, and visitors.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, one year of security experience, a valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to travel between sites. A stipend for cell phone use and mileage reimbursement are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of security officer or similar experience preferred.
• CA driver’s license (and auto insurance) required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-visibility security patrols throughout clinics, grounds, and parking areas to deter incidents and identify risks.
• Monitor and report safety hazards or environmental concerns (e.g., broken lights, spills).
• Respond promptly to incidents involving patients, visitors, or staff and document thoroughly.
• Escort patients or staff as needed and ensure safe transport to entrances.
• Enforce access control policies and provide welcoming, respectful service across sites.
