Job summary

RiverValley is seeking a Risk Manager to coordinate risk management and patient safety activities across its facilities. Under the Vice President of Medical Services and Compliance, you will review incidents, conduct investigations, identify risks, and track corrective actions to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

You will also support privacy, compliance, and regulatory readiness, provide operational coordination, and help implement corrective actions with clear owners and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, social work, behavioral health, public health, risk management, or related field.
• Three years of relevant healthcare risk management, patient safety, quality improvement, compliance, or clinical operations experience.
• Experience reviewing incidents, conducting investigations or record reviews, and coordinating corrective actions.
• Ability to travel between RiverValley locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day risk management and patient safety activities across RiverValley facilities and programs.
• Review incidents, conduct investigations, identify recurring risks, and track corrective actions.
• Support privacy, compliance, and regulatory readiness activities as assigned.
• Develop corrective action plans with owners and deadlines; monitor completion and effectiveness.
• Promote a Just Culture and conduct safety rounds and focused risk reviews.
