Job summary

Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Director of Risk Management to lead loss control, regulatory compliance, and safety initiatives across a 108-bed psychiatric facility.

The role partners with nursing and clinical leadership to advance patient safety, conducts root-cause analyses, coordinates audits, and mentors staff in risk management; qualifies candidates with 5+ years in risk management in acute settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related health field required; Master's preferred.
• Five+ years of risk management in acute medical or psychiatric settings.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, TDSHS, CMS standards and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Directs the performance improvement process.
• Maintains policy and procedure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Coordinates the Risk Management program and audits.
• Oversees the hospital contract log for accuracy and completeness.
• Directs peer review of Medical Staff and patient safety initiatives.
• Coordinates external audits and regulatory requests.
