Forest View Hospital is seeking a Director of Risk Management to protect assets and coordinate loss control efforts across the hospital. The role reports to senior administration and requires guiding policy compliance and safety initiatives.

The DRM will lead root cause analyses, supervise peer review, and coordinate audits with regulatory bodies while ensuring alignment with Joint Commission standards and state regulations. Strong communication and training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related health field required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Five (5+) years of experience in risk management/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.

Responsibilities

• Directs the performance improvement process.
• Maintains policy and procedure compliance with current regulations and standards.
• Coordinates the Risk Management TERM Survey Program.
• Oversees the hospital contract log for accuracy and completeness.
• Directs the peer review process for all Medical Staff.
• Oversees the patient satisfaction process.
• Manages hospital patient safety initiatives with Nursing and Clinical Services Directors.
• Performs root cause analyses and manages claims reporting.
• Delivers risk management overview training during new employee orientation.
• Acts as Compliance Officer.
• Coordinates external audits and regulatory requests and audits.
• Attends and participates in all assigned meetings.
• Reports safety concerns to supervisor and relevant committees.
• Follows safety policies and completes injury reports within required timelines.
• Meets annual competency requirements.
