Job summary

Highmark Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Internship to gain hands-on experience in data operations, reimbursement processes, and business analysis within the Professional Provider Reimbursement Operations (PPRO) team.

The intern will assist with master data management, analytics, and documentation to support reimbursement data flow across systems. The program emphasizes mentorship, project-based work, and exposure to healthcare data management and process

Qualifications

Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration, Computer Information Technology, or related.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively while interacting with colleagues, clientele, and internal or external constituencies in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services aligned with day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or proposals for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs to meet objectives of the operating unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
