Job summary

Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Internship to students authorized to work in the U.S. The program supports data operations, reimbursement processes, and business analysis within the Professional Provider Reimbursement Operations (PPRO) team.

Interns will gain exposure to master data management, analytics, and process improvements through hands-on projects and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full- or part-time in an accredited college or university while participating in the internship.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to support reporting and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day reimbursement operations and data research.
• Support reporting and documentation activities for program initiatives.
• Map and evaluate business processes, supporting process improvements.
• Help with project-based work and cross-functional collaboration.
• Provide recommendations to support operational objectives.
• Participate in training and mentorship sessions.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
