Ozark Health, Inc. is seeking a Referral Specialist to coordinate and track patient referrals, diagnostic testing, and specialty appointments.

You will act as the key liaison between patients, providers, insurance companies, hospitals, and diagnostic facilities to ensure timely processing of referrals. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple referrals and deadlines while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of health insurance, referrals, and prior authorization processes.
• Ability to use electronic health records and standard computer applications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle protected health information appropriately.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track patient referrals, diagnostic testing, specialty appointments, and other services.
• Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, insurance companies, and specialty offices.
• Manage the referral process from receipt to scheduling, authorization, completion and reporting.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, front desk staff, billing staff and outside organizations to ensure continuity of care.
