Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator 2 to support scheduling and pre-registration for exams and procedures with external providers. The role features patient-facing responsibilities and requires accurate communication and adherence to policy, with some discretionary prioritization.

The candidate should have under 3 years of healthcare experience, be proficient with medical terminology, and comfortable working with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably with Medicare populations.
• Proficient with medical terminology and EMR systems.
• Strong communication skills across all levels and with patients.
• This role is patient-facing and part of TB screening; TB screening may be required.
• Must be willing to travel to facilities and handle high-volume queues.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with external providers.
• Communicate preparation instructions and necessary information to patients and referring providers.
• Interpret policy parameters with some discretionary prioritization and timing within defined standards.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow and data accuracy.
