Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with spreadsheets and databases (basic-advanced training certificates) or 1–2 years database/spreadsheet experience.
• Ability to plan and organize work for efficiency and show self-starting motivation.
• Ability to prioritize activities to take action when needed.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare scheduling experience or 2 years customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and facilitate specialty referrals for patients.
• Communicate with managed care plans and third party payers for approvals.
• Inform patients about appointment time, location, provider name, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with EMKCHC specialty referral network to align with referral practices and payer requirements.
• Track consultant reports and diagnostic results to confirm attendance and communicate results to PCP.
• Manage telemedicine referrals, including data sheets, uploading consults to EHR, and scheduling.
• Manage and respond to patient portal messages.
• Produce reports and maintain data systems including outstanding referral reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
