Job summary

ProActive Work Health Services in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team. You will coordinate medical referrals, track authorizations, and ensure timely communication between clinics, insurance companies, and outside providers.

Responsibilities include processing and tracking referrals, submitting and following up on authorization requests, communicating with clinics, adjusters, utilization review, and offices, uploading documents into the EMR,

Qualifications

Healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
Workers’ compensation experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Proficiency in computers, email, and electronic medical records.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Process and track internal and external medical referrals.
Submit and follow up on authorization requests (RFAs).
Communicate with clinics, insurance adjusters, utilization review departments, and specialty offices.
Upload referral documents and authorization decisions into the EMR.
Monitor pending referrals and follow up on outstanding requests.
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of referrals.
Assist with resolving referral delays and authorization issues.
