Cornerstone Care is hiring a Healthcare Receptionist to greet patients, handle scheduling, collect payments and verify insurance. The role supports the clinical team and ensures smooth patient flow across locations.

You will maintain records, assist with billing inquiries and help patients with forms and eligibility questions. The position emphasizes friendly communication, accuracy in data entry, and adherence to standardized scheduling protocols to enhance patient experience and intake

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally in person and on the phone.
• 2) Answer patient questions or refer to appropriate staff.
• 3) Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
• 4) Notify providers and clinical team of patient arrivals and share essential details.
• 5) Explain wait times and visit expectations to decreases anxieties.
• 6) Maintain patient accounts by updating demographic and financial information.
• 7) Collect and process patient payments for services.
• 8) Assist patients with billing questions and forms.
• 9) Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain authorizations when needed.
• Enter charges and adjustments in the system and schedule follow-ups.
• 11) Retrieve outside records and update patient charts for clinical teams.
• 12) Scan and file insurance cards and forms into the EHR.
• Balance daily payments and prepare bank deposits.

You can join a dynamic team of professionals where your contributions and voice make a difference.We are the best family care center across Southwestern PA and Northern WV for affordable healthcare.Communicates effectively with a broad range of patients, community and organizational members.Some of the key responsibilities are:Greets patients professionally and timely both in person and on the phone.Answers patient questions or properly refers to appropriate staff.Optimizes provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling and follows outlined scheduling protocols.Notifies providers and/or clinical team of patient arrivals and effectively communicates essential patient details to clinical team.Decreases patient anxieties by effectively explaining wait times and visit expectations.Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, demographic, and financial information.Collects and processes patient payments for services.Assists patients with billing questions, registration forms, sliding fee and other service applications.Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits.Selects appropriate insurance for visit type.Obtains authorization for services, when appropriate.Enters treatment charges and encounter adjustments and schedules follow up appointments to finalize visit.Retrieves outside records to update patient charts for clinical teams.Scans and files registration forms, insurance cards, and various clinical information into patient’s electronic health record.Balances daily payments and prepares bank deposits.Cornerstone Care is a Non-Profit, Federally Qualified Health Center with 14 locations and a mobile unit, serving communities throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Northern West Virginia.
