Job summary

Ironside Human Resources seeks a Director of Quality and Risk for a healthcare facility near Richmond, VA. The role is full-time with standard Monday–Friday hours and a pay range of $112,000–$127,000 per year, depending on experience. Opportunity for quarterly bonuses is advertised.

The candidate will lead regulatory compliance, risk management, and staff education, ensuring accreditation readiness and continuous quality improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field is highly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Risk Management, Quality Management, Patient Safety, and/or Performance Improvement in healthcare.
• Experience with State, Joint Commission, and/or CARF surveys.
• Hands-on facility-level leadership experience with staff, patients, and department leaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility meets federal, state, and corporate regulatory standards while leading accreditation readiness and compliance efforts.
• Oversee risk management activities including incident reports, notices of potential claims, corrective action planning, and reporting to Corporate Risk Manager.
• Partner with department leaders to enhance patient care, resolve concerns, manage risk-related activities, and foster collaboration and accountability.
