Job summary

Betances Health Center seeks an Accounting Analyst to manage purchasing for the Health Center network, maintain invoice records, and ensure compliance with NYS DOH, DASNY, and funding sources. Under the Accounting Manager, you will process purchase orders, input invoices, and prepare reports for leadership.

The ideal candidate has HS diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), strong organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of FundEZ.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Account payable experience or working knowledge of accounting.
• 1+ years in community healthcare or healthcare insurance environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word; Access preferred).
• Should be mission driven and be able to function as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Purchase all supplies for the Health Center network, including office, medical, maintenance and furniture.
• Maintain inventory supplies in-house at designated locations.
• Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts and invoices with vendors.
• Manage vendors, negotiate rates and obtain bids when necessary.
• Track and control inventory levels for all supplies within FundEZ and on spreadsheets.
• Alert the Budget and Finance Manager and/or Nurse Manager when supplies are low.
• Ensure purchases align with budgetary constraints and policies, with documentation.
• Prepare purchase orders through FundEZ and prepare reports for management.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency.
• Record all invoices in the accounting system for reports and vouchering.
• Securely file all supporting documents for easy access.
• Prepare quarterly vouchers for CFO review and submission to DASNY.
• Track all payments from the State and verify accuracy.
