Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Supervisor-Lieutenant-Police Officer to lead a shift of public safety personnel, oversee patrols, and respond to incidents on IU Health properties. Qualifications

Requires seven (7) years of law enforcement experience with a high school diploma or GED, or five (5) years with an Associate's degree.
Requires a current non-restricted Indiana Driver's License.
Must complete Indiana Law Enforcement Tier I or II training and IU Health DPS field training program.
Must obtain NCIC/IDACS certification and access.
No felony, domestic violence or violent misdemeanor convictions.
Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and psychological exam.

Responsibilities

Provide direction and supervision to police officers and public safety staff.
Conduct patrols and respond to calls for service.
Coordinate on-scene command during critical incidents.
Enforce IU Health policies and state laws; maintain records and write reports.
Schedule shifts and allocate assignments; monitor performance and training needs.
Collaborate with other agencies and maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
