Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to lead complex capital programs in New York City and Long Island. You will act as the owner's representative, guiding multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and occupancy for hospital, ambulatory care, and life sciences projects.

The role requires 7+ years in healthcare project management, a strong track record managing $10M+ capital projects, and exceptional communication and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of project management experience supporting healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or institutional facility projects.
• Experience managing capital projects valued at $10 million or greater.
• Experience as Owner's Representative/Program Manager/Construction Manager.
• Strong understanding of healthcare facility planning, design, construction, commissioning, and activation processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner's representative for healthcare capital and MEP infrastructure projects from planning through occupancy and closeout.
• Lead project teams of architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Coordinate day-to-day project execution across programming, budgeting, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, activation, move management, and closeout.
• Track project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, invoices, and financial performance indicators for timely decisions.
• Maintain project schedules, milestone logs, and deliverable trackers, escalating issues.
• Oversee design development and construction to ensure compliance with healthcare regs and standards.
• Facilitate meetings with client leadership, clinical users, facilities teams, design professionals, and contractors.
• Evaluate risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect cost, schedule, quality, and operations.
• Review and negotiate change orders, invoices, and consultant agreements.
• Coordinate project communication and reporting for executive leadership.
• Support procurement activities and bid evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, interim life safety measures, and patient care during construction.
• Mentor junior PM staff and contribute to best practices.
