Job summary

Taylor Design in Sacramento seeks a Healthcare Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams through design and construction administration, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met for healthcare projects.

You will develop budgets and timelines, coordinate with clients and subconsultants, and drive proposals, contracts, and billing while upholding firm standards and quality. The role offers growth within a committed employee-owned firm and exposure to award-winning projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or equivalent education in an AEC related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a professional office setting.
• Demonstrated history of success in leading a team and managing one or more projects, including the ability to monitor, adjust and maintain scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Familiarity with multiple project delivery methods.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, including the ability to recognize and successfully navigate client and agency challenges and/or issues.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience or knowledge of Health Care and or Science/Technology a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Deltek, BST, or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with oversight for team members, coordinating with a Project Director.
• Establish a balanced approach for ensuring project profitability, technical deliverables, and design goals.
• Provide leadership at the project level, interacting with clients, staff, and consultants.
• Develop project budget and timeline, manage proposals and contracts, monitor financial progress, perform monthly client billing and revenue projections.
• Understand building systems and code/agency issues that may arise.
• Participate in firm-wide resource allocation planning and forecasting.
• Participate in marketing activities – supporting and writing proposals and interviews/interview preparation.
• Be responsible for project quality control and following firm-wide standards.
• Communicate with consultants, contractors, subconsultants and other disciplines to resolve project issues.
• Participate in business development by deepening relationships with their clients and potential clients.
• Participate in professional development activities, learning and training programs.
