Job summary

WM seeks a Program Manager to plan and direct onsite activities at client locations concerning storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, following federal, state and local regulations. The role travels to four local hospital locations.

You will coordinate logistics with clients and vendors, ensure safety standards, and manage invoicing and contracts to optimize service delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business, or related field (or in lieu of degree).
• HS diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 2 years of relevant work experience beyond education.
• HAZWOPER Certification Upon Hire.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience Upon Hire.
• OSHA 24-Hour Certification Upon Hire.
• Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire drug/alcohol testing may be required by customer contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from client site including profiling, scheduling, manifesting and loading bulk and drum loads.
• Consult with client to identify, design and implement cost saving opportunities and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with client and government regulations by performing necessary inspections and reporting; resolve issues promptly.
• Administer client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing, reporting and contracts.
• Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform duties and comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Occasionally perform labor-intensive activities (e.g., drum collection and bulking).

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field

High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience

2 years of relevant work experience beyond education

HAZWOPER Certification

RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience

OSHA 24-Hour Certification

Job Summary

Manages and plans activities of onsite personnel. Serves as liaison between client and vendors in relation to service issues and contract management. Maintains pre-established standards for safety and environmental issues.

This position will be traveling to 4 local hospital locations.
