Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a Project Engineer Plan Design to support the Planning Design and Construction (PDC) program. You will assist in coordinating design and construction activities for hospital projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and alignment with Parkland’s mission.

The role involves budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with vendors, architects, and facilities staff. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of PM support in construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, business or related field.
• At least 1 year of project management support in construction or design.
• Hospital project experience preferred.
• Ability to read architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist PDC program managers in design and construction phases.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, safety plans and quality goals.
• Assist in selecting and managing consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Prepare invitations, requests for proposal and contract negotiations.
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and Parkland staff.
• Help implement project management tools and data systems.
