Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking an experienced Clinical/Biomedical Engineer to lead device planning and integration across hospital operations. You will oversee project management, equipment selection, and regulatory compliance while partnering with clinicians.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5 years in clinical engineering, and strong communication and leadership skills. Master’s degree preferred and professional certifications are a plus.

Formación

• Must have five years of experience in clinical engineering, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Experience dealing with CE regulatory bodies such as TJC, CMS, TDSHS, CAP, etc.
• Must have experience managing equipment selection processes for large scale purchases such as physiological monitors, defibrillators, dialysis machines, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, anesthesia machines, etc.
• May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both education and experience requirements.
• Prefer CBET, CRES, or CCE certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provides project management leadership through planning, managing, and controlling and reporting on the work performed by individual project teams.
• Responsible for effective device design and providing novel system and technical problem solutions.
• Educates medical and technical staff on medical technologies, distributing appropriate technology information to departments.
• Performs assessment of new technologies as needed.
• Develops and designs equipment systems in consultation with user groups and strategic partners.
• Forecasts medical technology budgets on a 5-10 year life-cycle horizon and forecasts maintenance and repair costs.
