Job summary

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health in Palo Alto is seeking a Project Engineer to support project-delivery on capital improvement projects under the supervision of the Design, Construction leadership. The PE assists with controls, documentation, budgeting, schedules, risk tracking, and closeout, contributing to on-time, on-budget project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide project controls, documentation, coordination, and analysis in support of PMs and CMs.
• Supports projects of varying size and complexity under an assigned PM or CM; task ownership increases with demonstrated capability.
• Assists with procurement documentation, bid analysis, contract exhibits, and vendor performance tracking.
• Documents lessons learned and proposes updates to Hospital Standards through the assigned PM.
• Supports project managers and project team with creating, tracking, and updating design and construction schedules.
• Collaborates with project teams in developing detailed project plans/designs including preparing cost estimates and budgets.
• Meets regularly with project team to stay abreast of and track the status of design and construction projects at all stages.
