Job summary

tap|QA is seeking an experienced production support professional to monitor and manage critical batch jobs in a healthcare-oriented environment. You will coordinate scheduling, respond to incidents, and work with cross-functional teams to keep systems available and performing.

Ideal candidates have Appworx/UC4 experience, strong Unix/Oracle knowledge, and a proven ability to work independently and in teams across shifts. Local candidates to the Twin Cities metro are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Appworx and/or UC4 experience for running and configuring production jobs.
• Experience with production operational support for applications, including running jobs and understanding JCL.
• High level of expertise in production environments, preferably in Healthcare Systems.
• Working knowledge in Unix and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of relational databases with Oracle experience.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools, preferably Appworx or UC4.
• Experience with system and application linkages to enterprise monitoring, automation, and dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-resolution capabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and schedule user jobs to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain production calendar reflecting operations, migrations, and events.
• Record interventions using logging/monitoring tools and notify stakeholders.
• Communicate interventions to affected parties and document issues.
• Maintain systems and applications documentation and logs; close loop on issues.
• Provide weekend/evening support as needed and scheduled.
• Assist with deployments, releases, and post-implementation verification.
• Contribute to operational process improvements and automation.
