Job summary

TriCore Health, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, invites you to join a team delivering process improvements across clinical and operational workflows. This Process Improvement Engineer role focuses on Lean and other tools to sustain a culture of continuous improvement.

As part of the team, you will lead improvement initiatives, develop standard work, train teams, and support the Quality Management System, collaborating with lab staff to reduce turnaround times and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years applying formal process improvement tools (MTM, OR, queuing theory, statistics, Lean Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate processes to set quality and service objectives.
• Study operations, map processes, define responsibilities.
• Recommend changes to reduce turnaround times and optimize workflows.
• Coordinate improvements with lab personnel to maximize service and minimize cost.
• Develop standard work and performance metrics.
• Prepare management reports analyzing problems and metrics.
• Develop labor standards and cost analysis to improve utilization.
• Use analytical/simulation methods to compare plans and outcomes.
• Collaborate to implement best practices across the organization.
