Job summary

The Project Coordinator at UNC Health supports planning, execution, and monitoring of process improvement initiatives across the organization to improve quality, efficiency, and patient experience.

In collaboration with the Process Improvement, Patient Experience, and Volunteer Services teams, the role ensures deliverables are met on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals, while coordinating multiple departments and maintaining detailed project documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for multiple departments: Patient Experience, Volunteer Services, Process Improvement and Spiritual Care.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, action item trackers, and meeting agendas.
• Manage large databases for accuracy and relevance.
• Gather, organize, and analyze data to support project decisions and measure outcomes.
• Prepare progress reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership.
• Facilitate communication between departments, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged.
• Support event planning for improvement initiatives.
• Track risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Assist in standardizing tools, templates, and processes.
