Job summary

R1 is seeking a Forward Deployed Process Consultant to bridge executive strategy with on-the-ground execution in healthcare. You will assess current workflows, map processes, and craft implementation plans with KPI-driven outcomes.

You will collaborate with Process Engineers and consulting teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, design training, manage change, and monitor KPIs/SLAs while guiding client stakeholders through AI-enabled optimization.

Qualifications

• Healthcare client-facing consulting experience.
• Healthcare certifications in coding audits area plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Significant experience in project management, process improvement and implementation support.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS & CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines and reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and implementation plans.
• Partner with Process Engineers and consulting teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Provide technical and operational guidance throughout engagements.
• Design implementation and stakeholder communication plans for client use cases.
• Design end-user training and change management plans to drive adoption.
• Develop mechanisms to monitor KPIs and SLAs for ongoing value.
• Collaborate with executive teams to align medical coding processes with objectives.
• Analyze and optimize medical coding workflows leveraging AI technology.
• Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and operational teams.
