Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking an experienced Practice Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of physician practices, manage staffing, patient flow, budgets and efficiency of operations.

The role requires leadership in supervising staff, reviewing financials, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations while delivering high-quality patient care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or related field.
• Five years of physician practice experience, with supervision.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
• Strong budgeting, reporting and contract interpretation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supervises staff; interviews, hires and trains; evaluates employee performance.
• Reviews profit/loss statements and allocates budgets and resources.
• Liaises with physicians on administrative issues and resolves disputes.
• Maintains records and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
• Monitors budget, expenses and revenue; recommends capital expenditures.
• Ensures courteous service to patients and visitors.
• Oversees patient flow and supports marketing activities.
• Develops contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances.
• Participates in preparedness and quality improvement evaluations.
• Upholds TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, dedication.
