Job summary

UNC Lenoir Health Care is seeking a capable Plant Engineering Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of the Maintenance Department. You will oversee safety, PM programs, vendor coordination, and data-driven dashboards to track performance and life safety compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in healthcare maintenance leadership, CMMS knowledge, and strong budget management. Onsite, day-shift role based at Lenoir MEM with a focus on reliability and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a management role overseeing maintenance personnel in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, CMMS, Life Safety Code, and relevant State/Federal regulations.
• Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing maintenance and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department under the Director of Engineering.
• Direct daily assignments of maintenance staff and coordinate with contract service vendors.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain documentation, dashboards and reports.
• Oversee budget development for facilities operations and capital equipment replacement.
• Lead quality improvement activities related to contract services and safety programs.
