Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services in Chicago seeks a skilled facilities maintenance technician to ensure safe, reliable hospital operations. You will log equipment data, perform maintenance, and coordinate with engineering teams to uphold system integrity.

The role requires troubleshooting expertise, adherence to safety standards, and a valid driver's license. A healthcare environment background is preferred with relevant trades licensure and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
• Maintains the building and its related systems.
