Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a per diem healthcare facilities technician in Chicago to maintain logs, ensure safety, and perform repairs on hospital equipment. The role covers mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems within the building and related systems.

The position requires a high school diploma, relevant trade certification, and a valid state driver’s license, with preferred experience in an acute healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
• Maintains the building and its related systems.
