Job summary

HDR is seeking a Health Planner II to contribute to the planning, design and coordination of healthcare projects. You will collaborate with architects, planners and engineers to develop drawings, specifications and narratives for compliant, sustainable building solutions that support community well-being.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture, 3+ years in the A/E industry, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative, employee-owned mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related field
• A minimum of 3 years experience in A/E industry
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects
• Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, and visualization to produce detailed drawings
• Prepare drawings and specification documents
• Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials
• Understanding of healthcare trends
• Assist the lead Health Planner in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives
• Assist the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning
• Perform other duties as needed
