Job summary

HDR is seeking a Health Planner II to support planning, design, and coordination of healthcare projects across environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, planners, designers, and technical specialists to address healthcare trends and deliver compliant designs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Architecture with 3+ years in A/E and prefer Master’s in Architecture, with strong organization, documentation, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related field and minimum 3 years in A/E industry
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented approach
• Understanding of design techniques, codes and construction documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Active participant in employee-owned culture
• Willingness to travel
• Master’s degree and healthcare architecture experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects.
• Engage in problem solving, teamwork, and visualization to create accurate drawings.
• Prepare drawings and specification documents.
• Research, plan, design and administer building projects applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials.
• Understand healthcare trends to inform planning.
• Assist lead Health Planner with presentation drawings and narratives.
• Coordinate all disciplines related to building design and health planning.
• Assist in other duties as needed
